Concert and World Première
Swiss Symphonic Wind Orchestra
Directed by: Niki Wüthrich
New composition: Stephan Hodel
This year’s first performance is embedded in a programme of works by Othmar Schoeck and his contemporaries Paul Hindemith and Kurt Weill. Hindemith and Schoeck were good friends; and as for Weill – the composer of the Dreigroschenoper – several surprising parallels to his music can be found in works by Schoeck.
