„The Garden of Eden“

Alongside the unusual house-cum-artist’s-studio that he built, Alfred Schoeck designed an extensive garden that left no child’s dream unfulfilled: with a Chinese pavilion and a shell-shaped fountain situated between all manner of trees, this garden extends down several terraces, resulting in the Schoeck family giving the name „Semiramis“ to a statue of a „Persian princess“.

The garden was split in two when the Hotel Eden was sold in 1952. But the original structure has been almost completely preserved, and will be seen and experienced for the first time for more than 70 years in the „Garden of Eden“ light and sound installation.
